Mario Carey Signs off after bringing 24 years of Christmas cheer to students at the Center For The Deaf
After 24 years of bringing Christmas cheer to students at the Centre for the Deaf, businessman Mario Carey, left, is officially signing off and turning the yuletide tradition over to Livingston Brown, right, a sales associate at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate MCR Group. Carey, who is hearing impaired and the father of a son with Asperger’s on the autism spectrum, is signing ‘You’re welcome’ after young Shenique Williams says thank you in sign language. Carey said the decades of bringing Santa, gifts and food to the students, instructors and staff at the Centre have been “rewarding beyond description, but now it is time to turn it over to the new generation of those who care and want to share.” (Photo by Ashley Bethel)
